Eas a’ Chual Aluinn is the tallest waterfall in the United Kingdom, located in the parish of Assynt, Sutherland, Highland, Scotland. The waterfall has a sheer drop of 200 meters (660 feet) and is about four times taller than Niagara Falls. It can be reached by a 6-mile (10-kilometer) walk across boggy ground from the road 3 miles (5 kilometers) south of Kylesku in Sutherland. In good weather, a boat-trip runs from the slipway by the Kylesku Hotel to Loch Beag, from where the waterfall is visible. Eas a’ Chual Aluinn is also known as the “waterfall of the beautiful tresses” in Scottish Gaelic.
